A historic alluvial and hard-rock tin field
Kangaroo Hills covers part of a historic tin field north-west of Townsville. The field has a long record of alluvial tin production and more than ten hard-rock tin occurrences, most of which have never been drilled. Mondo sees it as a chance to find the hard-rock sources of the historic alluvial tin.
Historic production
The field produced tin concentrate for decades, mostly from alluvial workings.
Undrilled hard rock
Most hard-rock prospects have high-grade surface samples but no drilling.
Proven granite family
The same family of tin-bearing granites hosts defined tin resources elsewhere in the region.
Geological setting
Tin and tungsten are associated with fractionated granites and their greisen and vein systems. Surface soil and rock-chip anomalies outline several hard-rock targets, along with a copper-silver prospect.
Drill results, historical estimates, tenement schedules and budgets are available to eligible wholesale investors in the data room, under a confidentiality agreement. Exploration information is historical or preliminary and is not reported under the JORC Code (2012). See the important notice.
How we plan to advance it
The program is staged. Each step is funded only if the previous one justifies it.
Mapping and 3D geology
Map the granite contacts, veins and greisens and build a 3D model.
Soil sampling
Run systematic soil sampling to define drill targets.
Diamond drilling
Test the best targets with a first diamond drilling program.
How value is realised
Kangaroo Hills adds scale and a second region to the tin vehicle. Success would give the listed company a district-scale tin position in Queensland.
Listing
Vended into the planned tin and tungsten company for equity.
Joint venture or option
A partner funds work to earn an interest.
Sale or royalty
Sold outright, with Mondo keeping a royalty.
